The curation team has assembled a collection of pieces that represent common challenges artist face when creating. The exhibit is accompanied by planned workshops for aspiring creatives that seek to gain mastery in business transactions, personal marketing, and replying to grant-funded opportunities in the District of Columbia.

Cleaning House: A Return to the New explores how accumulated materials, archived images, and foundational techniques are transformed through a process of clearing, revisiting, and renewal to create space for new creative possibilities.

The Art from the High Castle: These mysterious works depict alternate victories where the war’s outcome was reversed, symbolizing hope and inspiring the growing African American resistance.

Rare Ink has partnered with DaQuane Cherry to bring a curated collection of current and new works. Cherry returns from his most recent art residence in France at Chateau d'Orquevaux where produced the collection “A Night in Paris with Josephine”.

Rare Ink has partnered with the Greater Washington Urban League’s Entrepreneurship Center to create a space to discuss, explore, and be exposed to black businesses in the arts, their challenges, and the factors that make them successful.

An exploration of the aspirational, subversive, silly, and serious nature of our world through the District’s unofficial official mascot, The DC Rat.

This series titled “THE DIVINE 9 & THEIR DISCIPLES” is an homage to the founding Greek fraternity and sorority houses of black sister and brother hood. Highlighting what community looks like when we are united.
